Nizhny Novgorod residents started studying locksmithing more often.

      The demand for skilled trades has increased in the region.

      In the second quarter of 2025, interest in educational courses for skilled professions rose significantly in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the "Avito Services" platform.

      The highest growth in demand was observed in construction and technical fields. Compared to the same period in 2024, interest in carpentry courses in the region increased by 78%, electricians by 50%, carpenters by 19%, and locksmiths by 12%.

      A similar trend was recorded in Nizhny Novgorod, where searches for carpentry courses increased by 12%, locksmith courses by 9%.

      The rise in interest also led to an increase in offerings: the number of ads for carpentry courses in the area grew by 4.5 times, electricians by 3.3 times, and locksmiths doubled. In Nizhny Novgorod, the number of such offers increased by 40% and 20%, respectively.

      Demand for professions in the service sector remains consistently high. Over the year, interest in manicure courses in Nizhny Novgorod quadrupled, and training for hairdressers increased by 78%. The number of training offers in these areas increased on average by 3 to 3.5 times.

      The culinary field also shows growth. Demand for confectionery courses in the region increased by 2.6 times, and baking chef courses by 90%. Offerings increased by 4.3 and 5.5 times, respectively.

      According to VTSIOM, seven out of ten Russians consider skilled professions to be in demand, and every second is confident in their high pay.
