In the first half of 2025, the Gorky Railway allocated almost 4 billion rubles to fulfill social obligations. This was announced at the socio-economic forum, which traditionally takes place at the Central Palace of Culture for Railway Workers in Nizhny Novgorod. During the forum, railway workers discussed the implementation of the industry-specific agreement and collective contracts of JSC "RZD" and the branch companies.
Participants noted that the wage level of employees is increasing. For example, the average salary within the railway's jurisdiction amounted to nearly 95,000 rubles. According to the conditions of the Collective Agreement, the company conducts an annual wage indexation twice a year. This year's indexation was 3.64%.
The head of the Gorky Railway – a branch of JSC "RZD" – Sergey Dorofeevsky emphasized that currently more than 36,000 people work on the railway. Each employee is a high-class specialist, and overall, the Gorky Railway team is capable of rapidly transforming processes to meet new challenges and the needs of cargo owners, passengers, and the country's economy as a whole.
The Gorky Railway actively supports young specialists. For more than 15 years, a targeted program "Youth of JSC RZD" has been in place. Over 10,000 employees under 35 work on the Gorky Railway.
It should be added that social obligations of the railway include organizing sports and mass events and encouraging employees to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Following the forum, outstanding employees were awarded in honor of Railway Workers' Day. The top railway workers received certificates, letters of gratitude, and valuable gifts personally from Sergey Dorofeevsky and Evgeny Zakharov, chairman of the Dorpofzhil union.
