      From August 1 to 4, the fourth class of fire hazard will be established in separate areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region in forests and peatlands. This is reported by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Upper-Volga UHMSC."

      The risk of natural fires is increasing. There may be a rise in ignition sources, expansion of fire areas, and the spread of flames to settlements and economic facilities.

      Emergency Situations Ministry specialists recommend observing safety measures during the heightened danger period.

      Citizens are asked to refrain from visiting forests when receiving information about high or extreme fire hazards. It is also strictly prohibited to burn garbage in dacha and garden plots, especially near forested areas.

      In case of discovering a natural fire, it is necessary to report it immediately to the fire service and act with maximum caution.

      Earlier reports indicated a haystack fire covering about 1,400 square meters in the Pilninsky district.
