      The famous fat dog Krugets from Nizhny Novgorod passed away during the night of July 31.

      The day before, volunteers from "Compassion NN" reported that Alabai stopped walking and was constantly whimpering from pain.

      The reasons for the abrupt health decline were unclear. Veterinarians suspected the animal might have been suffering from severe dizziness.

      "Krugets passed quietly, at the hospital inpatient ward. The doctors tried to save Krugets, but all attempts were unsuccessful..." — said the shelter.

      Recall that an Alabai with severe obesity was found on the street in fall 2023.

      Veterinarians and volunteers helped Krugets lose weight to 48 kg, but they were unable to find new owners for him.
