Culture and Leisure This August, the Nizhny Novgorod festival "Balcony Music" (0+) will take place in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region for the first time. The music will sound directly from the balconies of the All-Russian A.S. Pushkin Museum, Peterhof, and Tsarskoye Selo.

As noted by Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this year's festival has become more extensive: not only new districts of the region have joined, but also cultural spaces in Saint Petersburg and the surrounding area. According to him, successful cooperation in other museum projects has helped reach a new level.

The first concert in Saint Petersburg will take place on August 2 at 17:00 on the balcony of the G.R. Derzhavin Museum-Estate, which is part of the All-Russian A.S. Pushkin Museum. That evening, Honored Artist of Russia Dmitry Skorikov and Mariinsky Theatre soloist Dmitry Grigoriev will perform. The concert can be attended free of charge, but tickets are required.

On August 3 at 15:00, the festival will move to Oranienbaum, one of the parks of the Peterhof Museum-Reserve. On the balcony of the Roller Coaster Pavilion, the program "Mozartarium" will be performed by soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre Young Opera Singers Academy, Artyom Aleshina and Anastasia Simanskaya. Entrance will be allowed with a regular park ticket.

On August 9 at 17:00, music will be played from the balcony of the Pushkin Memorial Apartment Museum. Entry is free.

On August 10 at 15:00, another concert — "Belcanto Queens" — will take place in Oranienbaum. The performers will be soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre Young Opera Singers Academy and laureates of prestigious competitions. Tickets for the park are required to attend.

The final act of the festival will be held on August 31 at 18:00 in Tsarskoye Selo. At the central balcony of Catherine Palace, the audience will hear a musical dedication to Catherine II and architect Francesco Rastrelli. Entry requires a ticket to Catherine Park.

It was previously reported that "Balcony Music" was held for the first time in Arzamas.
