This was announced at a press conference at NOIC by Vladimir Ezhov, head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      "Affected sections of roads, types of traffic violations, times during the week and day when road traffic incidents occur were identified. According to this accident analysis, our patrols are focusing on these settlements, specific sections, and kilometers of roads where accidents have occurred over the past three years," he said.

      Vladimir Ezhov noted that such sections are located in the Kstovsky, Dzerzhinsky, Bogorodsky, Borsky, Vykhonsky, Gorkovsky, and Chkalovsky districts. The most likely places for road traffic incidents were determined for them, and patrols were directed accordingly.

      It was previously reported that in the first half of 2025, the number of traffic accidents increased in the Nizhny Novgorod region, resulting in 137 fatalities.
