Three libraries in the Nizhny Novgorod region will be renovated by the end of 2025 at the expense of the regional budget.

      Culture and Leisure In the Nizhny Novgorod region, three libraries will be upgraded by the end of 2025 at the regional budget's expense. The institutions in Gorodets, Navashino, and Nizhny Novgorod will be equipped according to the model standard. The Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reports this.

      "This year, we continue to create model libraries in the region using regional budget funds. We will allocate 31 million rubles for the purchase of furniture, books, and equipment for these institutions. It is very encouraging that we are maintaining a high standard in this area of work, especially since our achievements are highly valued by specialists at the federal level," said Natalia Sukhanova, Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Funds from the regional budget will be used to refurbish the central library in Gorodets, which is undergoing major repairs as part of the national project "Family." Additionally, the Kirsanov House Library in Navashino and Branch No. 9 of the Centralized Library System of the Autozavodsky District – the Y.U. Adrianov Library – will be modernized.

      It was previously reported that five model libraries will be established in the region in 2025 as part of the "Family" national project. As a result, by the end of the year, there will be 61 model-standard libraries in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
