The production of the electrical enclosures manufacturer will increase by 31% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Economics Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with employees of LLC "Kit-Energo" from Nizhny Novgorod, summarized the interim results of implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" as part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."

      The enterprise specializes in manufacturing distribution boxes, compact cabinets, stainless steel enclosures, non-standard cabinets according to customer specifications, thermal cabinets, and control panels.

      Specialists from the Regional Competence Center have been working at participating enterprises of the federal project for six months. After three months, an Information Day is held, during which RCC experts summarize the work done and present plans for the second phase of the project.

      A pilot process was chosen for the manufacturing of enclosures for automation and power distribution systems. Sales of this product account for 21% of the company's total revenue.

      "RCC specialists conducted an audit at the enterprise and identified 32 bottlenecks in the workflow, including: lack of complete information in drawings, lengthy search process for necessary spare parts, absence of operation standards on the assembly line. Solutions were proposed for each of these issues, and an action plan was developed. Implementing the experts' proposals will increase productivity by 31%," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Furthermore, RCC experts trained 18 employees in lean technologies and are preparing three internal trainers who will be able to independently train their colleagues in the future.

      Currently, five manufacturers of electrical and distribution equipment are implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" in Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the main tool for shaping a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, as well as developing the state statistical and forecasting systems.
