More than 24,500 patients have been treated by doctors during the "Health Trains" since the beginning of the year.

      Society Since the beginning of 2025, mobile medical teams operating on the basis of health train diagnostic complexes have served over 24,500 patients. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Health.

      For preventive and diagnostic purposes, more than 41,800 medical consultations and over 84,500 various laboratory tests have been conducted. The standard examination procedures included nearly 9,500 fluorographies, more than 9,000 electrocardiograms, over 3,300 ultrasound examinations, and over 50,500 general laboratory tests. Almost 7,000 women underwent mammography.

      As noted by the regional Ministry of Health, the reception of specialists at the "Health Trains" significantly improves access to highly qualified specialized medical care, which is especially important for elderly and less mobile citizens. In turn, mobile medical teams, comprised of experienced specialists equipped with modern equipment, promptly diagnose, prescribe, and adjust treatment, thereby increasing the lifespan and improving the quality of life for residents of Nizhny Novgorod region.

      In particular, since the beginning of the year, "Health Train" doctors have identified and diagnosed more than 4,900 diseases, including about 60 of an oncological profile. Over 17,000 people were referred for additional examination, and 790 people were hospitalized.

      "It is much easier to prevent a disease and avoid its development if you regularly undergo preventive medical check-ups, as well as seek medical help promptly when symptoms of any illness appear. It is especially important to detect disease early when obvious symptoms may not be present. First and foremost, oncological vigilance and careful attention to heart and vascular health are essential," the department noted.

      Let us remind you that the "Health Train" project has been implemented since 2018 on the initiative of the Gubernator of Nizhny Novgorod Gleb Nikitin. The operation of mobile diagnostic complexes enables achieving the goals and objectives set by the new national project "Long and Active Life."

      The national project "Long and Active Life" was launched across the country in 2025 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It aims to increase life expectancy by 2030 and involves further modernization of outpatient clinics, ambulatory services, feldsher-midwife stations, attracting more qualified medical personnel to healthcare facilities, employing new approaches in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases, improving emergency medical services and rehabilitation systems, developing a network of national research centers, and digitizing the industry. The project includes 11 federal initiatives: "Health for Everyone," "Modernization of Primary Healthcare," "Medical Personnel," "Combating Cardiovascular Diseases," "Combating Oncological Diseases," "Fighting Diabetes," "Hepatitis Control and Reducing Spread Risks," "Improving Emergency Medical Services," "Development of Federal Medical Organizations, including a network of national research centers," "National Platform 'Health'," and "Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Recovery."
