The cost of a liter of gasoline has increased to 60.6 rubles in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Economy: Rosstat recorded a rise in fuel prices in 77 subjects of the Russian Federation from July 15 to 21, 2025. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the price of gasoline also increased. Specifically, the cost of a liter of AI-92 was 57.49 rubles, AI-95 — 62.20 rubles, and AI-98 and above — 83.94 rubles. Diesel fuel was sold at 68.29 rubles per liter.

      The average cost of a liter of gasoline in the region was 60.56 rubles, the highest among all subjects of the Volga Federal District.

       nationwide, the average price of a liter of gasoline reached 60.86 rubles by July 21.

      In the RIANews ranking published in the morning of July 28, Russia ranked 15th in fuel affordability in Europe. The average Russian salary can buy 1,360 liters of AI-95 gasoline. Luxembourg topped the ranking, while Moldova was at the bottom, where a monthly income is enough for only 546 liters of fuel — nearly five times less than Luxembourg and two and a half times less than Russia.

      Earlier reports indicated that the Nizhny Novgorod region is ranked 39th among Russian regions in fuel affordability.
