The production of the Nizhny Novgorod special equipment manufacturer will increase by 20% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with employees of LLC "Technomegadriiv" from Vorsma, summarized the interim results of implementing tools for the federal "Labor Productivity" project within the national "Efficient and Competitive Economy" project at the manufacturing facility. The enterprise specializes in designing, producing, and selling special machinery for various purposes.

      The specialists from the RCC work at participant companies of the federal project for six months. After three months, an Informational Day is held, where RCC experts review progress and present plans for the second phase of the project.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the pilot process was the production of tanks, which accounts for 32% of the company's total revenue.

      "RCC specialists conducted an audit at the enterprise and identified 29 bottlenecks in the workflow. These include cluttered workspaces, lack of identification for painted components, and time lost searching for equipment and materials in the warehouse. For each issue, solutions were proposed, and a plan of action was developed. Implementing these changes will reduce process time from 89 to 66 hours. RCC experts will help increase output by 20%," said Cherkasov.

      Additionally, RCC experts trained seven company employees in lean technologies and are preparing an internal trainer who will subsequently be able to train colleagues independently.

      Currently, 29 automotive component manufacturers in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are successfully implementing tools from the federal "Labor Productivity" project.

      The national "Efficient and Competitive Economy" project, initiated by President Vladimir Putin, is a key instrument in forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the state statistical and forecasting systems.
