Specialists examined 2,560 samples of milk and dairy products in the first half of 2025. This was reported by the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The results showed that 3.6% of the samples did not meet microbiological standards. An additional 4.2% exhibited deviations in physicochemical characteristics. In 1% of the samples, the permissible level of antibiotics was exceeded.
At the same time, no GMOs or radioactive substances were found in the products.
In addition to laboratory tests, inspections revealed other violations: improper storage conditions, sale of expired dairy products, and sale of goods that did not meet established standards.
As a result of the control activities, 26 batches of substandard products—over 27 tons of milk and dairy products—were withdrawn from circulation.
All responsible persons were held administratively liable. The department continues to monitor the situation.
Earlier, it was reported that more than 155 kilograms of dangerous meat were removed from the shelves in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
