      Four films shot in the Nizhny Novgorod region will receive financial support from the region. The results of the competitive selection for rebates (subsidies to cover part of production costs) from the regional budget have been announced. A total of five applications were submitted for the competition. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The competition committee, through voting, identified four works that scored over 50 points and were recognized as winners. These are the feature film "Comeback" (LLC "Lego-Felix"), the TV series "We Are Here to Help You - 2" (LLC "Lukfilm Studio"), the feature film "Steam" (LLC "Vshoubiz"), and the documentary "Catalog. Libraries" (LLC "First Documentary Community"). The total amount of funding allocated to the filmmakers amounts to over 12.6 million rubles. Overall, in the first half of 2025, the film commission supported 21 projects within the Nizhny Novgorod region (assisting in location scouting and approval, consulting, etc.). The Nizhny Novgorod film commission was established in 2021 by order of Governor Gleb Nikitin to develop and promote the regional film industry, and to create conditions for the production and distribution of films in the region. Note: For each recipient, the subsidy amount is calculated according to a formula approved by the government resolution No. 947 of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The company can reimburse up to 60% of expenses incurred in the region. Additionally, an extra refund percentage is granted for films with a distribution agreement, a long shooting period in the region (more than 30 days), or a plot connected to the history of Nizhny Novgorod. This year's competition was conducted through the state information system for managing public finances "Electronic Budget."
