Sarnovo managers demanded kickbacks from bonuses: a criminal case has been initiated

      A criminal case has been opened in Sarov against two former managers of an organization — the ex-head of the laboratory and the head of the thematic planning and economics department. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to the investigation, from 2017 to 2024, the managers conspired to obtain money by extorting employees. They regularly arranged large bonuses for individual workers. Then, the laboratory head demanded a portion of the bonus from these employees, and he handled the money at his discretion. He shared part of the amount with the second manager. Everything was done secretly and by prior agreement.

      The dishonest actions of the managers were uncovered by officers of the Russian Investigative Committee in collaboration with the FSB department for the Nizhny Novgorod region. After an investigation, charges were brought against both men. Currently, one of the suspects is in custody, and the other is under a travel ban. The investigation continues — interrogations are ongoing, details are being clarified, and other possible episodes of crimes involving them are being investigated.
