      Society – Management of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod initiated an unscheduled inspection of all electrical infrastructure in academic buildings and on campus grounds after a fire at the dormitory on the morning of July 22.

      The relevant order was given by the university's rector, Oleg Trofimov. He announced this on his Telegram channel, emphasizing the need for an immediate assessment of the equipment's condition.

      Rector Trofimov expressed gratitude to the Emergency Situations Ministry staff for their swift and professional assistance and noted the organization of students during the evacuation.

      "Nobody is immune to such incidents, but we can minimize their likelihood," Trofimov stressed.

      It was previously reported that an electric scooter caused a fire in an apartment building in Nizhny Novgorod.
