Torpedo Hockey Club has signed a two-year contract with forward Nikita Rozhkov. The deal was the result of an exchange with Moscow CSKA, which in turn received a financial compensation, according to social media reports.
Rozhkov made his KHL debut with Metallurg Magnitogorsk. He later also played for Cherepovets Severstal.
In the 2021/2022 season, Rozhkov became the champion of the Supreme Hockey League with Tumen Rubin.
Last season, the forward played for Moscow Zvezda, where he was the team’s top scorer, totaling 57 points (25 goals + 32 assists) in the regular season and playoffs of the VHL.
He also distinguished himself in a seven-game playoff series against Torpedo Gorky, earning 5 points (3 goals + 2 assists) in the fight to advance to the next round.
The agreement with the hockey player is for one season.
It is worth recalling that as a result of the previous exchange with CSKA, Egor Sokolov joined Torpedo, while the army team acquired the rights to Nikolay Kovalenko, who has already signed a contract with them.
It was previously reported that Torpedo will play against Torpedo Gorky.
