Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, there are more than 5,000 patients with rare diseases who require necessary medical assistance.
This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional Ministry of Health.
Among the most common diagnoses are hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, phenylketonuria, oncological hematological conditions, tuberous sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, and hypopituitarism.
The department noted that the budget of the Nizhny Novgorod region for 2025 has maintained the level of funding for medication provision for this category of patients. This will ensure continuous therapy and preserve the standards of medical care.
Earlier, assistance to patients with rare diseases was discussed in the Nizhny Novgorod Legislative Assembly.
