Former deputy director of the Nizhny Novgorod major repairs fund is suspected of fraud.

      Incidents A criminal case has been opened in Nizhny Novgorod against a former deputy general director of an organization engaged in major repairs of multi-apartment buildings. The woman is accused of fraud under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Investigative Committee for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to investigators, in 2023, the accused employed her daughter as a senior economist, but she actually did not perform her job duties and was listed on the staff of the organization until November 2024.

      Using her official position, the defendant instructed employees of the HR department and accounting to provide false information in the work hours schedule. Based on these fictitious documents, her daughter was regularly paid a salary.

      The total damage from the unlawful actions amounted to more than 620,000 rubles. The woman disposed of the money at her own discretion.

      Violations were identified during a prosecutor's inspection, and the materials became the basis for initiating a criminal case. The criminal scheme was thwarted by investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia with the assistance of the FSB of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The court chose a preventative measure in the form of a pledge not to leave the city and proper conduct.

      Investigation activities are ongoing. Work is being carried out to collect and secure evidence.
