Employees of United Metallurgical Company (UMK) and the charity foundation "UMK-Participation" are holding the "To School – Together" campaign in Vyksa for the 12th time. The company's press service reported this.
A special section has been opened on the foundation's website, where stories of beneficiaries, lists of necessary school supplies, and contact information of coordinators are posted. Anyone interested can choose a child and purchase a uniform, backpack, stationery, sports shoes, and other items needed for the beginning of the school year.
Employees from Vyksa, as well as residents of Almetyevsk, Belgorod, Blagoveshchensk, Chelyabinsk, Chusovoy, and regions with "Steel Road" wagon ремонтные депо, are joining the initiative. Employees of UMK in Moscow will also participate. This year, more than 80 first-graders and two large families in difficult life circumstances from different regions of Russia will receive assistance.
The collection of gifts will last until August 15. After that, volunteers and foundation staff will hand over the items to the children.
Julia Mishina, general director of the "UMK-Participation" foundation, noted that company employees always enthusiastically support the families of future first-graders, and this school campaign is one of their favorites and most extensive.
"This is more than charity — it's our contribution to the future of the children. Together, we can do more than just buy notebooks or uniforms; we can give children confidence and joy at the start of a new, important stage in their lives," she said.
