In the Nizhny Novgorod region, an individual entrepreneur from Pervomaysk was placed under investigation for fraud related to the execution of municipal contracts for the demolition of emergency housing. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.
According to available information, the man signed four agreements with the administration of one of the districts under the national project "Housing and Urban Environment." On paper, he was supposed to demolish old houses and properly dispose of construction waste. However, instead, the businessman submitted forged documents concerning waste removal.
As a result of the entrepreneur's actions, the local budget was damaged by more than 1.8 million rubles. A criminal case has been initiated on suspicion of fraud.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to five years of probation with a four-year probationary period. He was also fined 60,000 rubles.
The entrepreneur fully compensated for the damages caused.
It was previously reported that a court found a Nizhny Novgorod businessman guilty of fraud during the execution of a state contract for the repair of river transport.
