A test launch of a new fountain took place in the park by the Serge Ordzhonikidze House of Culture in the Moskovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod.
The object became part of the improvement of the public space, being renovated as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
As reported by the district administration, during the testing, specialists checked the operation of all systems—from lighting to pump equipment.
According to Oleg Sokurov, the first deputy head of the administration, the fountain, which had not been functioning for several decades, was essentially rebuilt. The water supply, sewage, and electrical systems were fully replaced, new nozzles and lights were installed, and the basin was assembled.
Project contractor Sergey Kuklin clarified that the fountain is designed in a classic round style with a diameter of 9 meters. Inside, there is one central foam nozzle and 48 dynamic single-jet nozzles. The lighting is provided by 51 LED lamps that change colors according to eight programmed scenarios with an interval of about one and a half minutes.
It was previously announced that 12.4 million rubles were allocated for the construction of the new fountain in the park near the Ordzhonikidze House of Culture, and over 50.5 million rubles for the improvement of the park itself.
Additionally, it is worth noting that on July 8, after reconstruction, the May 1 Park was reopened in Nizhny Novgorod.
