The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has ordered a report on the progress of the investigation initiated into the illegal actions of teenagers in the city of Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region.

The investigation was prompted by reports on social media. According to users, a group of teenagers is illegally collecting personal data of their peers: information about their families, friends, places they visit, as well as personal photographs. This data is then posted on a special online platform, after which provocative texts, including information about possible illegal activities, are published on behalf of the victims.

Subsequently, it is noted that the teenagers demand money for removing the posted materials.

The investigative authorities of the Russian Investigative Committee in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are already conducting an inquiry into this incident. All circumstances of what happened and persons involved in possible illegal activities are being established.

It was previously reported that the head of the Investigative Committee would be briefed on a traffic incident involving a scooter rider and a one-year-old child.
