      Incidents In Dzerzhinsk, a teenager attacked a man sitting on the street and shot him in the face with a signal pistol. The incident was caught on video, which caused a resonance on social media and in the press.

      According to available information, the man was sitting on Khimikov Boulevard in a state of heavy intoxication. He was not bothering anyone. However, one person from a group of teenagers, laughing and egged on by friends, approached the man wearing a medical mask, hit him on the head, and then shot him in the face with a signal rocket.

      After the video appeared online, investigators from the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region initiated a criminal case under the article on hooliganism committed by a group of persons.

      The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed acting regional head Aleksandr Dynkov to provide a report on the investigation progress and all established details of what happened.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Prosecutor’s Office also took control of the situation.

      It was previously reported that the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor’s office are checking a fight involving Nizhny Novgorod teenagers.
