An interactive financial literacy portal was presented in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Mini-seminar "Nizhny Novgorod – the Capital of Financial Culture" took place today, July 15, at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Information Center (NOIC). Participants learned how to manage personal finances and counter scammers. According to speakers, conferring Nizhny Novgorod the title of the capital of financial culture opens broad prospects for regional development. It not only enhances the region's prestige but also promotes the adoption of financial innovations and improves the population's financial literacy. Particular attention was paid to creating financial plans, controlling expenses and income, and methods of protection against fraud. Deputy Minister of Finance of Nizhny Novgorod Region Natalia Nikiforova detailed the most common scam schemes and ways to combat them. "No government funds call citizens, this is the most important thing we must remember and tell our children and elderly relatives," she noted. Additionally, speakers presented the interactive portal "Resident of the Capital of Financial Culture 2025." Its goal is to popularize financial culture through gamified elements where users can earn points, exchange them for merchandise, participate in educational programs, and events. All seminar participants registered on the platform and received resident status, along with initial points for participating. "Our task is not just to teach financial literacy, but to teach people to think about their finances and manage them properly and safely so that everyone understands how important it is," emphasized Natalia Nikiforova. Elena Suvorova, Head of Public Relations at the Volga-Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, shared trusted financial resources, including the Bank of Russia's website and the fincult.info portal on financial literacy and culture.
