The Federal Security Service of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region published footage of the detention of Namiğa Musayev, the head of the police unit at Nizhny Novgorod Airport.
Recall that information about the detention appeared on July 13. Musayev was at the center of a criminal investigation on suspicion of involvement in organizing a channel for illegal migration.
According to the investigation, from June 2024 to April 2025, law enforcement officers in transportation, aware of violations of migration legislation, helped foreigners stay in the country and leave it without hindrance for monetary reward.
The Central Interregional Transport Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has initiated criminal cases under articles concerning abuse of official authority and organizing illegal migration.
Operational activities are ongoing. Investigators are identifying all those involved in the crime and clarifying details of the illegal scheme.
It was previously reported that the former director of the House of Creativity in Sarov would be prosecuted for embezzling 800,000 rubles.
