The "Biennale Night" will take place in Nizhny Novgorod on July 19.
On July 19, in Nizhny Novgorod, the "Night of the Biennale" event will take place, during which access to the main venues of the First International Ecological Art Biennale will be free in the evening. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod and city visitors are invited to visit the main exhibition of the Biennale, "Skin of the Earth," which occupies two venues — the Mytny Market (2A Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street) and the Ermolaev Hotel (1 Strelka Street). The exhibition features over 250 works by 70 artists from 35 countries. The main theme of the project is the Earth's thin shell, comparable to the skin, and its significance for the planet. Free admission from 17:00 to 23:00. On the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, three Biennale ecological art exhibitions can be seen. At the Russian Art Museum | NGHM, the "Bee Zone" project is presented. Artists Maria Safronova and Anton Kuznetsov explore the structure of bee life as a model of modern society through their works. Free entry to the "Bee Zone" exhibition is from 19:00 to 23:00. At the Volga-Vyatka branch of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin (Arsenal), the exhibition "Earthly/Planetary" is ongoing, addressing environmental issues on planetary and local scales, along with a new project "Dreams of Home." This project examines the idea of home as an all-encompassing cultural constant within human thought traditions—from ancient times to the present. Visiting the Biennale exhibitions at Arsenal is free from 17:00 to 23:00. The CEH multimedia art space continues to host the "Digital Hopes" exhibition. The installations presented demonstrate how human attitudes toward nature have changed over the centuries under the influence of digitalization. Free entry from 17:00 to 23:00. At the Mayak Academy named after A.D. Sakharov, there is a special project of the Biennale, "Pure Energy." The exhibition combines kinetic sculptures, light installations, paintings, and video art from artists of different generations, showing how scientific breakthroughs are reflected in art. On July 19, the venue operates on a regular schedule—free entry from 9:00 to 20:00. Recall that the International Ecological Art Biennale is held in Nizhny Novgorod from April 17 to November 20, 2025. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Arsenal), the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum, the CEH space, the Mayak Academy named after A.D. Sakharov, the buildings of Mytny Market, and the Ermolaev Hotel.
