More than 80 families in Nizhny Novgorod used the newborn item rental service.

      Society: Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region are increasingly using rental points for essentials for newborns. Since the beginning of 2025, three such centers have started operating in the region: in Nizhny Novgorod, Arzamas, and Bork.

      According to pravda-nn.ru, citing the regional Ministry of Social Policy, more than 80 families have used these rental services during this period.

      The highest demand was registered in Arzamas, where 34 families received assistance. Four families temporarily took items at the Bork point. In total, 143 units of various equipment were issued during this period.

      Among the most in-demand items for Nizhny Novgorod families are stroller-type baby carriages, car seats for infants from six months, transformable strollers, playpens, and electric cradles for newborns.

      Regional authorities plan to continue developing this initiative, with an additional six rental points scheduled to open within the next two years.

      In 2026, new centers will appear in Dzerzhinsk, Bork, and the Kstovo district. In 2027, points with baby items will open in Pavlovo and Bogorodsk districts, as well as in the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod.

      The creation of the rental network aims to support families with children and reduce the financial burden in the first months of a child's life.

      Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod residents were reminded of the support measures for families with children that have been in effect in the region since July 1.
