      New traffic control points will appear on the M-7 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The new complexes will help reduce accidents, detect traffic jams and dangerous sections in a timely manner. This was reported by "NT-A-Privolzhye."

      In 2025, one of the busiest sections of the federal M-7 "Volga" highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region will see the installation of modern traffic control points. This event promises to change not only traffic safety but also the usual rhythm of life for drivers and residents of nearby settlements.

      Two traffic intensity monitoring points will be established on the highway — near the village of Myachkovo in the Volodarsky district and in the area of the village of Lesnaya Polyana within Dzerzhinsk. In 2026, two more complexes will be added — near the town of Lyskovo and a roadside control post near the Burevestnik settlement.

      The new complexes will help reduce accidents, detect traffic jams and dangerous areas in a timely manner. Traffic data collection will enable more effective planning of road repairs and upgrades. The installation of all sensors is planned to cost 31.5 million rubles.
