Lulin called for moving from reports to real measures to support SVO veterans.
The topic was discussed at the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lulin, stated that assistance to participants in the special military operation and their families should be based not on formal reports but on real actions. He wrote about this on social media, summarizing the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation held in Moscow.
According to the speaker, the focus at the federal level was on issues that had previously been actively discussed at the regional level with heads of municipalities and legislators of the Volga Federal District. The main areas of work highlighted include assistance in employment for veterans, providing qualified psychological support, and helping their families adapt to peaceful life.
Among the proposed measures are simplifying the procedure for accepting SVO participants into public service, developing career guidance programs based on rehabilitation centers, and adjusting the current social contract mechanism.
Special attention will be paid to training specialists who can support the families of military personnel, helping them adapt to new living conditions.
Evgeny Lulin also emphasized the need to eliminate legal injustice: he proposed expanding social support measures for guardians of deceased military personnel, as they are also people who have dedicated their souls to raising heroes.
“Social support should not be a static set of norms. It must change based on current realities and people's needs,” emphasized the speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In the near future, Evgeny Lulin plans to instruct the relevant committees of the regional Legislative Assembly to accelerate the development of new support measures.
