Society Since the beginning of the year, specialists from mobile diagnostic complexes of the "Health Train" have made 125 trips to municipalities in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Over the course of the half-year, doctors visited more than 400 settlements. Approximately 23,200 people became patients of the "Health Trains."
The regional Ministry of Health reported that to date, medical professionals have conducted over 39,500 consultations: residents received assistance from therapists, cardiologists, neurologists, surgeons, urologists, gynecologists, oncologists, ophthalmologists, and other specialists. In addition, residents of Nizhny Novgorod underwent over 80,100 diagnostic tests, including electrocardiography, fluorography, mammography, ultrasound examinations, laboratory tests, and others.
According to the ministry, five mobile diagnostic brigades operate weekly in the region. Their team is formed based at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N.A. Semashko.
Olga Kolchik, head of the mobile medical team organization at N.O. Semashko NB, noted that in hot weather, there is an increase in calls to medical staff concerning high blood pressure and exacerbation of cardiovascular diseases.
"To avoid potential health problems during periods of excessive temperature rise, it is recommended to consume more fluids. This can include pure drinking or mineral water, natural juices, and fruit drinks. It is also advised not to go outside during the hottest part of the day, wear head coverings, and loose clothing made of natural fabrics. Elderly people and those suffering from cardiovascular diseases should pay particular attention to these simple rules. These measures help prevent heat and sunstroke, as well as other unpleasant conditions," the doctor suggested.
Let us recall that the "Health Trains" project has been implemented at the initiative of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, since 2018. The operation of the mobile diagnostic complexes helps achieve the goals set by the new national project "Long and Active Life."
The schedule of the "Health Trains" is updated monthly. Up-to-date information can be found on the regional Ministry of Health website.
The national project "Long and Active Life" was launched across the country in 2025 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It aims to increase life expectancy by 2030 and involves further modernization of clinics, outpatient facilities, feldsher-midwife stations, attracting more qualified medical personnel, applying new approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases, improving emergency medical services and rehabilitation systems, developing a network of national research centers, and digitalizing the industry.
