Nizhny Novgorod enterprises increased production volumes in 2025.

      EconomyThe industrial production volume in the Nizhny Novgorod region increased by 5.3% in the first five months of 2025 compared to the same period last year. In May of this year, the industrial production index stood at 101.5% compared to May 2024.

      According to operational data from Nizhny Novgorod Statistics Agency, from January to May, regional enterprises shipped their own products, performed work, and rendered services totaling:

      - In manufacturing industries — 854.7 billion rubles;

      - In the field of energy supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning — 63.7 billion rubles;

      - In water supply, wastewater management, waste handling, and pollution control — 20.6 billion rubles;

      - In mineral extraction — 2.7 billion rubles.

      The manufacturing industry demonstrated steady growth: for January–May 2025, production volumes increased by 7% compared to the same period last year. The largest increases were recorded in the following areas:

      - Coke and petroleum product manufacturing — 43.5%;

      - Machinery and equipment production not included in other categories — 33.1%;

      - Manufacturing of finished metal products (excluding machinery and equipment) — 28.5%;

      - Production of other transport vehicles and equipment — 24.2%;

      - Computer, electronic, and optical equipment manufacturing — 23.1%.

      Significant increases were also observed in the production of radar, radio navigation, and remotely operated equipment (45.9%), measuring and control instruments (35.5%), ready-mixed concrete (29.8%), groats, coarse flour, and grain granules (29.7%), workwear (27.3%), polymer-based paints and coatings (17.5%), and others.
