A cultural and educational project for students, teachers, and parents is planned to be implemented in Nizhny Novgorod schools. Its main goal is to make the learning process interesting for all participants right from the start. City leader Yuri Shalabaev announced this.

"Together with linguist, RANEPA instructor, and radio host Leonid Klein, we want to implement a unique educational project in Nizhny Novgorod schools that will target children, parents, and teachers simultaneously. The pilot sites are already Gymnasium No. 53 and No. 67," the mayor said.

Yuri Shalabaev noted that the key methodology will be motivating education through the analysis of themes from domestic and global culture. "With different audiences, we are working through lectures, discussions, and film clubs. The kids begin to view the subject differently, teachers better understand the value of their work, and families become allies of the school. This is not about formal reports, but about active participation, strengthening interest, meaning, and trust in the educational environment," he emphasized.

Leonid Klein mentioned that he has been spending a lot of time in Nizhny Novgorod since the beginning of this year with educational programs. "Working with three audiences at once is very interesting and effective. The kids come voluntarily, and then bring friends. In Gymnasium No. 53, we’ve already held an evening film club for parents. My idea is to turn the school into a family 'cultural center,' so that everyone finds it equally engaging. Essentially, this is, without pretension, patriotic family education," the lecturer said.

According to him, he also regularly receives positive feedback from teachers. "They appreciate the opportunity to have constructive conversations with me and colleagues on professional topics. Sometimes teachers dedicate so much of themselves to their work that they need additional energy and inspiration to present material in a better and more interesting way. We discuss critical thinking and works that need to be read to sustain their interest in professional development," Leonid Klein added.

The implementation of the project, tentatively titled "The Most Important. Culture as the Main Resource for Parenting and Citizenship," is expected to start with monthly meetings involving high school students, teachers, and parents in the next school year. Topics for discussion will be pre-discussed with future participants each time.

For high schoolers, topics include: "Beauty as Information. How a Poem Works," "Main Songs and Books About Love," "How to Find Harmony and Grow Up"; for teachers: "The Teacher as a Cultural Hero," "Balancing High Professional Aspirations with Daily Responsibilities"; and for parents: "Raising Adults and Children Through Family Reading," "Moomin Trolls: Home Comforts and Other Family Values."
