      The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, congratulated residents on Russian Post Day, celebrated on July 13. The congratulatory message was distributed by the regional administration's press service.

      Historically, the Post has been a center of attraction for residents from all corners of Russia. Despite digitalization, postal services remain an essential part of infrastructure for life both in large cities and small settlements. Postal offices not only provide opportunities for people to stay connected with their loved ones but also perform key social functions.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, nearly 6,000 postal employees work tirelessly. Postmen often have to cover significant distances, memorize numerous addresses, faces, and names. Most importantly, they must maintain an interest in people, care for them, assist the lonely, the elderly, or those unable to leave their homes due to health reasons. In such situations, human qualities determine a postman's professionalism.
