Nizhny Novgorod pipeline systems manufacturing company joined the "Labor Productivity" project.

      The LLC "STS" ("Modern Pipeline Systems") from Nizhny Novgorod has become the 289th participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Experts from the regional competence center (RCC) will implement lean manufacturing tools at the enterprise.

      The company specializes in the development and production of pipeline systems for the nuclear industry.

      "STS became the first manufacturer of pipeline systems to join the federal 'Labor Productivity' project in the Nizhny Novgorod region. RCC specialists will work on the company’s site for six months. They will conduct audits together with the company's staff, select a pilot stream, and identify bottlenecks. These innovations will increase output in the pilot stream and accelerate production without significant financial investment," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      At the same time, employees will receive training on the basics of lean manufacturing.

      From 2019 to 2024, similar support measures were implemented within the framework of the national "Labor Productivity" project, and from 2025 they are being carried out within the federal "Labor Productivity" project of the "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project. Enterprises that have already implemented lean technologies with government support have increased productivity by an average of 40%.

      The "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the national statistical and forecasting system.
