      A unique art object—a giant letter "P"—has appeared in the village of Bolshoe Boldino. It was installed as part of the cultural project "City Alphabet," dedicated to the history of Russian writing and the modern reinterpretation of the Old Slavonic alphabet.

      Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, shared on his Telegram channel that the first letter in the project, installed in Bolshoe Boldino, symbolizes tranquility, as was customary in the Old Slavonic tradition.

      The choice of this particular letter is no coincidence: it is dedicated to the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, who spent significant time at his ancestral estate in Boldino, where he created many outstanding works.

      It is worth noting that this project is implemented with the support of the regional government and was developed by the Institute of Urban Environment Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The customer is the "Saros-Diveevo Cluster." Art objects will appear in different cities across the region. Each letter is decorated with carvings reminiscent of Byzantine ornaments and church architecture motifs. In the patterns, one can see griffins, birds, fountains, vases with flowers—images borrowed from local folklore and everyday life.
