A multifunctional space for family recreation was created in Shatki thanks to the national project.

      In the village of Arkhangelskoye in the Shatkovsky municipal district, work has been completed on creating a multifunctional public space where families can relax: it features a modern children's playground and a quiet recreation area. The work was carried out as part of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" under the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      "The feature of this public space is that it is located not in the district center or the city, but in a rural area. Last year, residents of Arkhangelskoye actively participated in the ranking vote, and thanks to their efforts, this project became one of the winners. Together with the active villagers, a concept for the public space was developed, based on which the project was prepared, and works were completed this year," said Maksim Mezhevov, head of local self-government in the Shatkovsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The children's town and a corner where parents of visiting children can spend time are located on Tsentralnaya Street. Here, asphalt and seamless rubber coating have been laid on the playground, outdoor lighting has been installed, benches with sunshades have been set up, and a modern children's playground has been built. The cost of creating the public space is approximately 7.5 million rubles.

      Arkhangelskoye is the administrative center of the Arkhangelsky rural council. More than 2,300 people reside here permanently.

      This year, under the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" project, 11 public spaces are planned to be improved in villages and rural settlements of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Recall that since 2025, Russia has been implementing a new national project, "Infrastructure for Life." Its goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The project consists of 11 federal projects, which include areas previously outlined in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe and High-Quality Roads," and in state programs of the Russian Federation: "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment," "Modernization of Utilities Infrastructure," "Housing," "Development of Infrastructure in Settlements," "New Construction Rhythm," "Central Transport Hub," "Road Safety," "Regional Roads," "Federal Highways," "Development of Road Economy," and "Public Transport."
