The Nizhny Novgorod clinic commented on the conflict with a patient over an X-ray.

On August 24, 2026, at 18:01, incidents were reported. The Nizhny Novgorod clinic No. 21 commented on a conflict with a patient who demanded an X-ray of her leg and, after being refused, did not want to leave the office. Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod woman shared what happened on social media. According to her, she injured two toes on her foot while running from the bathhouse to a body of water. Suspecting a fracture, the woman went to the trauma center; however, as the patient claims, the doctor diagnosed her with a "bruise" and refused to refer her for an X-ray. After that, the woman stated that she would not leave until she was examined. In response, the doctor called the National Guard.

As reported by NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" in the medical institution, on August 23, the woman came to the trauma center with pain in her toes. The doctor examined her, palpated the painful areas, and assessed her gait. According to the medical staff, there were no indications for an X-ray.

"The specialist provided the patient with treatment recommendations both orally and in writing. We emphasize that the doctor does not have the right to prescribe any examinations to the patient without the presence of appropriate indications. In this case, the patient received full assistance," the clinic noted.

At the same time, the woman continued to demand an examination. According to the doctor, she behaved aggressively, swore, and insulted the staff.

"After the examination, she refused to receive a certificate and leave the office, which hindered the doctor from continuing to accept other patients. There were no violations of professional ethics on the part of the medical staff," the medical institution emphasized.

As a result, the clinic staff pressed the emergency response button and called the National Guard. The patient left the office only after the agency's staff arrived. It was previously reported that the State Labor Inspectorate began an investigation after an employee of GKB No. 40 in Nizhny Novgorod was beaten.
