Energy of Generations: 250 Years of the Beloglazov Dynasty's Combined Experience at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP
August 27, 2026 18:08 Society Two generations, 14 family members, including five biological brothers, have tied their fates to the energy sector. The combined work experience of the Beloglazov dynasty at the native Avtozavodskaya CHPP exceeds 250 years—a unique record of dedication to the profession. In 2026, the CHPP celebrates its 95th anniversary. The foundation of the enterprise is its people—labor dynasties that pass down experience, traditions, and dedication to the cause from generation to generation, making an invaluable contribution to the development of the region's energy sector. The station's anniversary is not only a celebration for the enterprise but also a tribute to all those who have created its history through their labor. The history of any dynasty begins with a person who lays the foundation for future generations. For the Beloglazov family at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP, the pioneer was Vladimir Konstantinovich. Following his father's wise counsel, he tied his future to the energy sector. The young specialist started working at the CHPP in the 1970s. He progressed from an electrical repair technician to a shift supervisor. For the sake of his five sons, he transferred to a master position to work the day shift and be close to his children. He retired after 40 years of work. Stability, reliability, and respect for the working person at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP became a true magnet for Vladimir Konstantinovich's relatives. Confident in the enterprise's prospects and seeing how qualified workers are valued here, he gathered his large family at the station, becoming their guide into the world of big energy. Sisters and brother, nephews, and cousins with their spouses—a total of 14 people from the Beloglazov dynasty have worked at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP over the years. The baton was taken up by the second generation of the family. Five biological brothers—Dmitry, Anton, Sergey, Alexey, and Pavel—went through the school of the Avtozavodskaya CHPP. A special pride of the dynasty is Pavel Beloglazov. He began his professional journey 22 years ago, coming to the station as a student intern in the electrical shop. Today, Pavel is a sixth-level electrical fitter working in the thermal automation and measurement shop. The instrumentation and automation are rightly considered the "nervous system" of the CHPP. The coordinated work of instruments, sensors, and protection systems determines the life of all equipment, safety, and the continuity of processes. "This is a very delicate job that requires utmost concentration," emphasizes the energy specialist. "With experience comes an understanding of the significance of one's profession and responsibility to people." The Avtozavodskaya CHPP has transformed beyond recognition, acknowledge the Beloglazov energy specialists. Joining the group of companies "En+ Teplo Volga," the enterprise has set a course for technological modernization. "Everything is improving for the better, and that's great," notes Pavel Beloglazov. "Workwear has improved, labor protection and industrial safety standards have become stricter, and digitalization has been implemented even in routine processes, making document work easier. But the main thing is that every year, work is steadily underway to replace equipment with modern ones." Large and close-knit families like the Beloglazovs have their own traditions. When a dozen and a half relatives gather around the festive table, conversations revolve around what unites them—energy, their native station. "Children and grandchildren ask for advice. I explain the nuances of the profession to them, sharing my experience," says the head of the family. The Beloglazov dynasty continues to grow and delight in its successes. Its founder, Vladimir Konstantinovich, has grandchildren growing up—the third generation. One of them is studying to be an electrician, while another dreams of becoming a welder. "95 years of the Avtozavodskaya CHPP is an entire era of selfless work by energy specialists. Over these years, tens of thousands of people have passed through the station's gate. But it is precisely families like the Beloglazovs that form the backbone of the team, on which the reputation, reliability, and soul of the thermal power plant rests. The combined experience of the dynasty amounts to hundreds of thousands of hours dedicated to servicing turbines, boilers, and automation systems, and around-the-clock work to ensure that 400,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents always feel comfortable in their homes. The hands of energy specialists hold the warmth of their native city, and their example inspires the younger generation to come to work at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP to continue the glorious traditions of dynasties destined to become legends," emphasized the general director of the CHPP, Viktor Korikov.
