The ZSNO prematurely terminated the powers of Igor Ruzankin.

      On August 27, 2026, at 13:18, Politics The Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region prematurely terminated the powers of deputy Igor Ruzankin. The decision was made on August 27 at the last scheduled meeting of the VII convocation. The powers of the parliamentarian were terminated as of July 31. Earlier, Ruzankin submitted a request to resign early, but did not specify the reasons for his decision. The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Yevgeny Lyulin, reported that he discussed the decision with the deputy.

      "Probably, the question will arise as to why a person would leave a month in advance... I invited him, talked to him, but there are personal reasons and motives. I did not understand them. Either he could not or did not want to articulate these reasons," noted Lyulin.

      Ruzankin was elected to the Legislative Assembly on the list of "United Russia" and headed the Balakhna regional group of the party. Before the elections for the new convocation, he registered to participate in the party primaries, but later withdrew from further participation.
