In the near future, the site will be used as a parking lot. This is reported by GIPERNN.RU, citing the owner's representative Grigory Nikitin. LLC "Mytny Dvor" acquired the site in 2024 and decided to demolish the pavilion to reduce costs. According to Nikitin, given the current economic situation, the new project turned out to be unprofitable.

      "There is no cheap money in the economy, and investing your own is like burying it in the ground. We have now drawn a line under the losses. The building was demolished, and thank God: we removed unnecessary expenses for taxes and thermal capacities. In the near future, we will only use it as a parking lot," he explained.

      The company does not currently see the point in building a large facility on the site. The project for a five-story shopping center developed by the previous owner is no longer relevant. Instead, they are considering a small office center.

      Recall that the Mytny market at Bolshaya Pokrovskaya, 2 was demolished last week. Earlier, the regional ministry reported that a multifunctional building with a commercial function was planned to be built on the site. Since the site is located in the protected zones of cultural heritage sites, in the territory of "Old Nizhny Novgorod" and the archaeological heritage site "Cultural Layer of the City of Nizhny Novgorod," the new building must comply with the historical development and established height parameters.
