      On September 1, a new season of the "Knowledge.Sport" project will start in Russia. The educational initiative aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical education is being implemented by the Russian Society "Knowledge" with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation in accordance with the objectives of the state program "Sport of Russia." The start of the new season was announced at an event dedicated to Physical Culture Day by two-time Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, multiple world and European champion Roman Vlasov. According to him, the participants of the project will be schoolchildren, college and technical school students.

      Teachers and physical education instructors, including educators from the Nizhny Novgorod region, are invited to create their own sports clubs in educational institutions. They can register now, and starting from the new academic year, they can conduct classes.

      For club curators, scenarios for lectures, interactive presentations, and quizzes have been prepared. The topics of the presentations are dedicated to sports physiology, sports professions, healthy habits and daily routines, the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense," and other areas.

      Based on the results of the classes, a ranking will be formed on the project website to determine the winners. The first interim results will be announced on September 30, and the final ranking will be published on November 20.

      Meetings with famous athletes will be organized for the 10 most active sports clubs. Curators of clubs that place from 1st to 10th will receive additional prizes from partners. The top 50 sports clubs will be rewarded with a set of sports equipment.

      An additional incentive for teachers will be an educational course on the "Knowledge.Academy" platform, which will help teachers manage the school sports club. Access to the course will open in the fall.

      Last year, the initiative of the Russian Society "Knowledge," dedicated to physical culture, reached nearly 20,000 schoolchildren and college students across the country. More than 2,000 schools and institutions of secondary vocational education, as well as over 3,000 educators, submitted applications to participate in the project.
