A terrible accident occurred on the afternoon of August 15 in the Navashinsky urban district. There, a 19-year-old driver crashed into a tree, causing the car to catch fire. The young motorist miraculously survived. This was reported by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The accident happened on the 7th kilometer of the Kulebaki – Valtovo – Salavir – Petrov Bridge road. The driver, behind the wheel of a "VAZ 2114," miscalculated his speed and did not take into account the bad weather conditions when he was about to take a turn. As a result of this reckless act, the car crashed into a tree and caught fire.
The young man suffered a fracture of his right leg. Despite this, the 19-year-old decided to seek medical help on his own. He managed to get to the hospital by hitchhiking.
