The guests had chances to take the lead again before the break, but the home team's goalkeeper Artem Melnikov played confidently at the last line of defense.

      The fate of the match was decided in the second half, 10 minutes before the final whistle. Substitute Timofey Doktorov outplayed a defender, broke away one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and resolved the episode in favor of his team. The desperate attempts of the Kazan team to equalize were in vain: the Nizhny Novgorod goalkeeper saved the day once again.
