"In 2025, our organization provided about 16 million meals to schools in Nizhny Novgorod. Of these, 9 million are for children in grades 1-4 under the presidential program, 6 million are for students in grades 5-11 funded by parental fees, and the rest are for privileged categories and school camps," Porokhovoy said. According to him, the organization now provides food for schools in "big" Nizhny - about 190 of them. Cafeterias continue to operate in educational institutions. Two years ago, they were modernized as part of the program. All items available to children there meet the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. "The menu is developed in accordance with all requirements. Closer to September 1, we will discuss the range of products in the cafeterias," added Alla Agapova, head of the department for hygiene supervision of children and adolescents at the Rospotrebnadzor office in Nizhny Novgorod region.
