Recall that the fatal accident occurred on August 7 on the 21st km of the Kaliniha - Yeldzh - Orehi highway. A drunk 31-year-old man without a license was driving a KAIYI E5 car; with him in the vehicle was a 39-year-old passenger. The driver did not choose a safe speed and lost control, causing the car to fly into a ditch and crash into a tree. The passenger of the car died at the scene. The driver was taken into custody - he became a suspect in the case for violating traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person due to negligence. It is known that he had previously been held criminally liable three times: twice for driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person who had been punished or had a criminal record, and once for gross speeding or driving on the opposite lane while deprived of his license.
