The Nizhny Novgorod governor expressed condolences to the residents of Nizhnekamsk.

      The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of those who died as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Nizhnekamsk. This was reported by the press service of the regional government on August 10, 2026. Nikitin sent his telegram to the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. "It is difficult to find words on a day when an act of aggression was committed against the residents of Nizhnekamsk and its infrastructure. Nizhny Novgorod Region mourns together with the Republic of Tatarstan. We share with you the acute pain of loss and the common desire to unite in the face of danger and disaster, to protect the country and peaceful citizens from enemy attacks. On behalf of all Nizhny Novgorod residents and personally, I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and sincere support to those who suffered in these tragic circumstances," the telegram states. According to law enforcement agencies in Tatarstan, a total of 13 people died as a result of the attack, and another 39 were injured to varying degrees of severity.
