Four enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region will receive 18.5 million for robotization.

      On August 10, 2026, at 17:30, Economy Four enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region will receive about 18.5 million rubles in federal support for the robotization of production. The companies became winners of the competitive selection for the provision of subsidies to Russian manufacturing enterprises to reimburse part of the relevant costs. The industrial "cashback" program is being implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia as part of the national project "Means of Production and Automation." The regional ministry of industry provided enterprises with consulting and methodological support at all stages of preparing and submitting applications. According to the head of the regional ministry of industry, Maxim Cherkasov, there are currently 39 industrial robots for every ten thousand workers in the region's manufacturing industry. Over the year, this figure has increased by more than 25%. The growth is ensured by both the companies' own investments and efforts to develop competencies, attract federal support, and accompany robotization projects.

      "The implementation of industrial robotics requires serious investments from enterprises, and this includes not only the purchase of equipment but also its integration into production processes, setup, and training of personnel. The federal support measure allows for the reimbursement of up to 20% of the costs for the purchase and integration of robots, enabling enterprises to implement modernization projects more quickly," noted Maxim Cherkasov.

      This year, support was received by Nizhny Novgorod enterprises in the machine engineering and food industries. The total amount of attracted federal funding was about 18.5 million rubles. Two projects involve the implementation of robotic complexes for the automatic loading and unloading of workpieces on metalworking equipment during the production of automotive components. Another project involves the automation of similar operations in the production of parts for gas meters. At the food industry enterprise, it is planned to install five four-axis industrial robots, which will be used for packaging finished dairy products. The national project "Means of Production and Automation" has been implemented since 2025 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. By 2030, the national project aims to ensure Russia's technological independence in the production of high-tech machines by 95%, to place the country in the top 25 nations in the world by robot density, and to prepare qualified personnel for the industry to work under new conditions.
