Nizhny Novgorod volunteers provided assistance to the reservists of "BARS-NN".

      On August 5, 2026, at 18:14, Society reported that camouflage nets and humanitarian cargo were delivered to one of the subdivisions of "BARS-NN" from the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The assistance to the reservists was personally handed over by the Deputy Chairman of the regional government, Vladimir Tuzhilin, as reported by the Ministry of Protection of Objects of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The camouflage nets were made by volunteers of the Combat Brotherhood of the Sormovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod in collaboration with the residents of the region. One of the permanent sites for their production operates in the Archangel Michael Church in the working settlement of Bolshoye Kozino. Here, volunteers of different ages weave nets daily, which are necessary for the reservists to carry out their tasks.

      Work is also organized at the P.I. Melnikov-Pechersky Library in Nizhny Novgorod, the House of Culture in the working settlement of First of May, and at the humanitarian and legal center of the Combat Brotherhood of the Sormovsky District. Anyone interested can join in the production of camouflage nets.

      Vladimir Tuzhilin thanked the volunteers for their support of the unit and emphasized the importance of interaction between the rear and the military personnel. According to him, it is especially important now to maintain a strong connection with those who are carrying out tasks to protect the country, and this connection is felt thanks to the active assistance of the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region, who weave camouflage nets, collect humanitarian cargo, and participate in volunteer activities.

      "This support is of great significance and once again confirms that together we are capable of solving the most complex tasks," he noted.

      The delivered nets and humanitarian aid will be used by the reservists of "BARS-NN" in carrying out tasks to protect the airspace.

      It should be noted that being in the reserve of "BARS-NN" does not imply sending to the zone of the special military operation. Tasks are carried out exclusively on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The contract with the Ministry of Defense allows combining service in the reserve with civilian work, while reservists retain their jobs and average earnings. They are provided with equipment, hot meals, life and health insurance, as well as medical assistance.

      During special gatherings, in addition to retaining average earnings from their main job, they receive monetary allowances from the Ministry of Defense of Russia—starting from 20,000 rubles depending on the position and rank, as well as a regional payment of 50,000 rubles per month.

      Additionally, there are extra regional support measures for reservists and their families.

      Information about joining "BARS-NN" can be found on the website bars-nn.nobl.ru, on the reserve's social media, or by calling the hotline at 8−800−10−17−017 (ext. 2). It operates daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. After working hours, calls are accepted in automatic mode.
