Nizhny Novgorod residents paid 1.6 million rubles for violations in public transport.

      On August 6, 2026, at 14:23 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents paid 1.6 million rubles for violations in public transport over seven months of 2026. This was reported by the CRTS. From January to July, inspectors compiled more than two thousand reports of violations. The majority of them—1808—are related to fare evasion. Another 263 reports were issued for using someone else's discounted transport card, and in five cases, drivers did not issue tickets to passengers. According to the CRTS, fines for identified violations were partially paid voluntarily, while some amounts were collected forcibly.
