      On August 6, 2026, at 12:07, Incidents: A 19-year-old resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region died under the wheels of a commuter train on the morning of August 6. This was reported by the press service of the Central MSUT of the Investigative Committee of Russia. The tragedy occurred at the 12th kilometer of the Kostarika - Pochinki stretch. According to preliminary data, a passenger electric train traveling on the route Nizhny Novgorod - Zavolzhye fatally injured the young man. According to law enforcement, he violated safety rules and found himself within the dimensions of the moving train. Due to the very short distance, the driver could not prevent the collision. An investigative check has been organized regarding the incident under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - violation of safety rules for movement and operation of railway transport. Currently, investigators are conducting initial verification activities and establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as assessing the actions of responsible individuals.
